The Full 10-Day Companion Plan

Hajj demands endurance, leg strength, and mental toughness. This plan builds all three — with zero equipment, so you can do it anywhere before you travel.

Hajj nutrition is about staying fueled and hydrated in extreme heat so your ibadah is not cut short by your body failing.

Hydration — Priority #1
  • Minimum 3–4 litres of water daily
  • Electrolytes or coconut water daily
  • Start sipping after Fajr
  • Avoid heavy dehydration triggers
  • Zamzam is a blessing — use it wisely
Pre-Walk Fuel
  • Dates + banana before longer walks

  • Avoid heavy oily meals before walking
  • Small frequent meals over large ones
  • Nuts and dried fruit as pocket snacks
Beat the Heat
  • Eat cooling foods like cucumber and watermelon
  • Avoid excessive caffeine
  • Mint water helps regulate temperature
  • Eat lighter in the hottest part of the day
  • Replace electrolytes after heavy sweat
Recovery Foods
  • Protein at every meal
  • Dates for quick glycogen replenishment
  • Honey with warm water before bed
  • Do not skip meals because you are tired
  • Protect sleep like part of the program

Hajj Pro Tips

Break In Your Footwear

Use your Hajj sandals during training walks. Do not arrive with brand-new footwear.

Walk After Isha

Train yourself to move in the evening if that mirrors when you expect longer walking windows.

Train With Weight

Carry a light backpack on later days so the real journey does not surprise you.

Mental Toughness

When you want to stop during training, make dua and keep going. That mental muscle matters.

Sleep Is Non-Negotiable

You cannot out-train bad sleep, especially right before a demanding journey.

Worship While You Train

Listen to Qur’an, make dhikr, or reflect during your walks. Train the soul with the body.
